Yes of course your category rank will matter a lot because the result of UPSEE is declared by two types, first one is for General candidate who got a single rank that is CRL rank but on the other hand second type is for reserved category students who will be allotted two types of rank, one is CRL rank and other is their respective category rank. If you are belonging to EWS category then the college will be allotted to you on the basis of your category rank.
