Being a KVPY scholar, I would definitely suggest you to drop one year and study sincerely. But if you think that you will not be able to concentrate for one yr then do not attempt to drop, just join BIT Mesra and improve yourselves there...

It seems like you have really good credentials and if tried best once you can most probably achieve what you want ahead in your career. Its not bad to drop one year in order to prepare best.

Taking a drop can prove to be a life changing decision but it all depends on you . if you can maintain your motivation and do consistent hard work in this year ,then I would suggest you to go for it . but I would suggest you should also join a good coaching institute as it helps a lot . but please at any point in this drop year do not discontinue your study as it can hurt your rank badly . OK then, best of luck for future!
