HI subhash,

Glad to know that you are interested in NATA. Well, as you know , there has been slight changes which are applicable from NATA2019.

NATA is All Indian Entrance Exam conducted for aspiring architects. It has being conducted by COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE (COA) since 2006. According to the terms and provisions , it is implied that there should be seperate test conducted for architecture aspirants irrespective of Engg, medicine, pharmacy and other disciplines.  CoA has the authority for fixing the norms and standards, it has expertise to hold national level entrance for COmmon aptitude test , in a single window system, thus enabling students to join 5 year architectuaral course directly by results of one single entrance test. So the basic purpose is to provide a single platform for aspirants of architecture all over the country.

NATA ensures eligiblity criteria for B.arch admission. this test measures the aptitude of the student required for specific study field , i.e, Architechture. By NATA , they asess a persons drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion , aesthetics, mathematics, and cognition.

Keeping this objective and developing interest in students to take up architecture, like every other year, CoA will conduct NATA this year as well for B.Arch admissions. This year onwards, CoA has been upgraded to conduct test twice a Year. By doing so, they are providing opportunity for students who miss out on First Test to take up Second test, or 2 paper.  Also to those people who , for some reasons could not score well in 1st attempt can attempt for 2nd. Both the tests will be conduct on different date as one day online examination. Both will have two parts - Part A - MCQs and Part B- drawing , offline.

This year NATA exam is scheduled on April as well as july.

Those who take up first attempt, will have on 14th of april 2019 . where as the second exam will be held on 7th july 2019.

Appearing in Second test is not mandatory. It is completely dependent on applicants. students can register for either of the tests or both by filling the form. Also those who tend to appear in both , will be issued with seperate score card for each test . Second test score card wil contain marks scored in first and the one which has best marks would be marked as valid score.

Given below is the helpline from the portal of NATA as well as their official website.
