It's Great that you are working for your interpersonal skills during your graduation. It is going to be very advantageous to you for future. 

Specially speaking about placements cells,  they only don't ask for graduation but also expect the candidate to have good interpersonal skills. And your part time job is surely going to help for it.

But I will suggest you to pay equal attention to your studies also. Studies are equally important and never underestimate the advantages of good grades.
