Is it wise to opt for microbiology course as bachelor degree for a good career in the future?

Hey aspirant,

Choosing any course for your future is wise or not depends on a number of factors. These factors include scope,career oppurtunities,interest, college etc. On the basis of these factors one needs to decide wether the field will prove to be fruitful for an individual or not.

So coming to Microbiology-

  • At present, the scientific, analytical and problem-solving skills developed by microbiology graduates are high in demand by employers.
  • Job opportunities include the posts of Research Assistant,Food, Industrial or Environmental Microbiologists,Sales or Technical Representative ,Medical Technologists,Biomedical Scientist,Clinical ResearchAssociate,MicrobiologistPharmacologist,Food Technologist etc.
  • Career growth is a going to be a major limitation unless one diversifies oneself , Practical knowledge and application is really important.
  • BSc Microbiology is basically study of the micro-organisms which affect human, animal and plant health. This course will provide an excellent opportunity to train themselves in the cutting edge technology for solving the microbial problems faced by the mankind.

You wi have other options as well. Therefore it is nice to do bachelor's in microbiology.

In my opinion, Bsc microbiology is good for career. There are lots of jobs opportunities in private as well as government sector. There are some jobs profiles:-

•Clinical research associate.

•Clinical scientist, immunology.

•Medicinal chemist.

•Microbiologist.

•Nanotechnologist.
