Akanksha, the reduced syllabus for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced will come into force for the Academic year 2021. The MHRD has requested for suggestions on this and the revised syllabus is yet to be finalized. So at this point in time, any information we try to help you with is just speculative and wont serve the purpose and so it is good always to hear it from the Horse's mouth as they say. Now if you are enquiring about 2020, everything remains the same with  no change in syllabus for both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

For JEE advanced 2021 nothing has been said regarding change or reduction in syllabus as of now but Yes, JEE mains 2021 syllabus will be reduced .


This is because,

Due to lockdown caused by covid-19 break, educational institution like schools, coachings etc are not able to take classes and it has become really difficult for students to complete the syllabus , so education ministers of various States along with Delhi's Manish sisodia requested to reduce the syllabus, and HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has confirmed that JEE mains 2021 syllabus is going to be reduced.

It is expected to be reduced by 30% but as of now there is nothing sure regarding which chapter or topics are going to be removed from the current syllabus. So for now you need to prepare from 2020 syllabus only.
