No, it is not limited to IITs. Round 6 is the final round for seat allotment across the whole JoSAA ecosystem which includes IITs, NITs, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs.

For IITs, it is the final round - those taking a seat in this round get no further opportunity to make changes. For the NIT+ system (which is NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs), Round 6 is the final allocation round. These are the last allocated seats at this new tier, Round 6 marks the end of the entire counselling scheme.

JoSAA Round 6 is for all institutes (IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTI) . It is the last round of JoSAA counselling.

No further JoSAA rounds after Round 6. For IITs, Round 6 is the final and closing round.

For NITs, IIITs and GFTIs vacant seats after Round 6 will be filled through CSAB Special Rounds.

If you don’t get a seat in Round 6, you can apply in CSAB (but only for NIT+ system, not IITs).
