Mathematics subject plays an important role in computer science and engineering. 

Usually the syllabus of computer science and engineering is different for different colleges

So please specify the college so I can give a proper  knowledge

Taking an example, 

• In IPU , mathematics is there in first as well as second year of car 
• In DTU , mathematics is only there in first year

Maths is taught for 3 semesters

1st Sem -

Maths related to Algebra,calcus.

2nd Sem-

Maths related to Complex numbers

3rd Sem-

1. Statistics and Probability

2. Discrete Mathematics

It is used in some other subjects like Computer architecture , Microprocessors , Electronic devices , Automata.
