Yes, Manipal Institute of Technology is good for engineering. The faculty is excellent with good quality of academics and the top companies visit the campus for placements. IIIT is also good institute for engineering. But when you are comparing Manipal and IIIT then in terms of infrastructure, academics, placements and campus life Manipal University is really better than IIIT.

No it is not better than IIIT because IIIT are generally very renowned and many good companies come for placement here in this college which includes Microsoft,Amazon,Dell etc.The faculties of any IIIT is far better than manipal and moreover placements in Manipal is also not that great except some in CS and IT.So I would recommend you to join any IIITs instead of manipal because of the following reasons.Manipal may have good infrastructure but you can get quality education in IIIts only.

Look however come to the difference between IIT and others college then everyone closed their eyes and choose IIT. Because every IIT is better then any other colleges dear. You have learn so many things, you cna go so many career option due to IITian. If you want to engineering just go for any IIT college you will get. Because Manipal University also good but for engineering IIT is the best always.
