Placements : Placements in college are good because it is the oldest and reputed college in India. Around 60-70% of the students get placed every year. More of them go for higher studies. Reputed companies like Indian Oil, BPCL, ONGC, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Vedanta, Honeywell, etc., visit the campus for placements of the chemical engineering department.

Infrastructure : There is no Wi-Fi facility provided for students, but an internet connection is available in the computer lab. Labs are good, but they are not cleaned much. The library is the best. There are two libraries for all departments; one departmental and one central. Medical facilities are not available, but an ambulance is available for any emergency. All types of sports are played here, and there is a huge playground available.

Faculty : Faculty members are good. Maximum courses are offered here, and you go through the university's website for the details. Both blackboard and projector facilities are available for teaching. The faculty to student ratio is 1: 6. Chemical engineering department has 15 professors and 90 students per batch, and around 5 guest professors are also available
