Caste certificate is not used for admission process.

The certificates used are OBC certificate/SC certificate/ST certificate.

Caste predominantely need not to be mentioned in OBC certificate/SC certificate/ST certificate.

So whenever you are looking for admission purpose certificate apply for  OBC certificate/SC certificate/ST certificate in the prescribed format.You must be clear enough about the format ,because most of the state govt. authority issue certificates in regional language like hindi/bengali/oriya/kannad/telgu/tamil but these certificates are not valid for admission purpose in certain institution.

So you must make sure where you are taking admission,prescribed format of certificates and valid certificates.

For example in IIT ,they mention the certificate format on the official website.
