University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun was also known as Petroleum University, Dehradun is the first university in India which provides UG, PG and Doctoral Programs in the core sector of petroleum and Energy. UPES established by endeavor of Hydrocarbons Education and Research Society. UPES collaborated with Laureate International Universities network and it also received the World Oil award. It is one of most recognized Universities in India that provide a waide range of courses with a lot of different specializations.

Although there are a lot of facilities provided by UPES, NCC is not of them .

The National Cadet Corps is an Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi , Delhi , India . It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army , Navy and Air Force , engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools , colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.

There are many other colleges in Dehradun that are associated with NCC.

4. Tula’s Institute.

Thus there are opportunities in Dehradun in NCC, but UPES does not provide so. If you want to focus on your career depending on the course of your choice, then you must prefer UPES but if NCC is very important for you then you can look for other colleges that provide this provision. Many other colleges in different cities are tied up with NCC
