No. It's not mandatory to live in hostel. If you are going for MBBS or for any other higher studies and you are far from the home then you will be asked to stay in hostel as it's difficult to travel up and down daily which may result in late comings to the college and it may miss your important classes. So, if you can travel up and down with no problem then you don't need any hostel facility. But choose hostel Living if you are far from the home. It saves your time and keep you focused on studies. But few Colleges make it mandatory to stay in their College hostels.
