No NEET is not compulsory for B.Sc nursing. Many states in India conducts their own entrance examinations for BSc nursing programme. NEET is only compulsory for AIIMS B.Sc nursing.

Hi

No, NEET is not compulsory/ mandatory for bsc nursing.

It's just that nursing colleges are free to choose  NEET as their entrance examination but as of now only a few nursing colleges like BHU, Indian Army bsc nursing, JIPMER, IPU , etc have started accepting NEET for bsc nursing.

Without NEET, you can get admission through other entrance examinations like:-

  • AIIMS Bsc Nursing entrance exam

  • RUHS Nursing entrance exams

  • CMC Ludhiana BSc Nursing entrance

  • KGMU Nursing entrance exam

  • Uttarakhand Nursing Entrance Exam

The general eligibility criteria is that one should have at least 50 % in 12th board examination with physics, chemistry and Biology.

The average salary for nurses is roughly around 2-3 lakhs per annum, but it also varies upon depending upon the hospital you are working in and and whether it is in urban or rural area , your experience etc. After bsc nursing you can even go for msc nursing.

Hope you are doing great. NEET is not required  paticuarly for the BSC Nursing programme. Different universities and institutes have unique entry exams for BSC nursing. You must take the entrance examination. Other requirements include passing 12th Science with a minimum of 50% in PCB subjects and English as a compulsory subject. CENTAC, SAAT, ITM, NEST, and NEET are some of the most popular nursing tests in India for B.Sc Nursing admission. The requirements for pursuing a BSc in nursing at a certain institution or university may vary.
