Yes, starting in 2018, the PESIT south campus will be transformed into a university. PES University is the name of the college that appears on the CET Seat Matrix 2018. (Electronic City Campus). This implies that PES University, rather than VTU, will be in charge of all of the exams for the programme.

The B.Tech degrees will be given to the students who join in the fall of 2018 rather than B.E. degrees.
Students who attend the Electronic City campus are now eligible to apply for scholarships that were previously only accessible to students who attended the Ring Road campus.
The PES University curriculum differs significantly from the curriculum of VTU.
The format of the examination will also be changed. Every semester will have two ISAs and one ESA at the conclusion of the semester. The ISAs will be controlled by computers.
Students from both campuses will now have equal chances for internships and job placements, as a result of this change.
