Yes, according to news and new rules in counselling process of Maharashtra for admission in Ug Or pg courses you should have saar registration. 

In other state counselling you only need your certificates like score card, category, income certificate but in Maharashtra you should have saar registration to have admission in medical college there through neet. 

It takes time for preparation of saar and they will not allow you for admission if your single document is missing so it is better to be prepared before.  Register online on saar portal.
