Hello Sumit,

Since SEBC certificate is provided by the officials of the state, it will be valid. But, it will not be required for GATE entrance examination. If you belong to SC, ST or PwD then only you will be required to submit the caste certificate.

Also, if you wish to get admission through GATE in college where it will be required, you will have to submit the same. You will have to check the documents list of the college where you wish to take admission through GATE.
