To answer your question in direct words, NO the shanracharya S1 placements even for CSE department is way below than colleges like BIT Durg. BIT Durg has a somewhat good reputation among other colleges and thus gives a comparitively better placements than Shankara. The average placement reaches 7 LPA for BIT and remains around 5 LPA for Shankara. The chances of you getting placed is way better in BIT Durg.

Nope this is not true . Both college have equal placement record with average package of 4lpa . 

Btw the percentage of students getting placed in bit durg is more then shankracharya bhilai but highest package placement is offer I. Shankracharya bhilai.
