Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur Admission Process

BIT Raipur offers B.Tech Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The college also offers M.Tech in Industrial safety; Diploma in mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering. Before applying for BIT Raipur admissions the candidate should appear for the relevant entrance examination such as JEE (Mains), CG PET, GATE, PPT( Pre Polytechnic Test). BIT Raipur admissions are based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination and thereafter through centralised counseling conducted by DTE, CG Raipur.

CG PET Exam

Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) conducts the CG PET exam for admission to various B.Tech courses offered by the participating institutes of CG PET in the state. Admissions will be done on the basis of scores secured by the candidates in the CG PET entrance exam.Candidates shortlisted on the basis of results will have to participate in the CG PET counselling process. The counselling will be conducted in online mode. The qualified candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank secured in the qualifying exam, preference of colleges and courses and availability of seats.

BIT Raipur M.Tech Admission 2023

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission in M.Tech programs shall be as per norms laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education, Raipur / Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai. However, the admission in M.Tech. for the sponsored seats will be done at the institute level as notified by DTE Raipur.

Selection Criteria: The candidates who have appeared in GATE exams and hold a valid scorecard are eligible for counselling.

Documents Required at the time of admission:

Class 10th Marksheet
Class 12th Marksheet
Graduation Marksheet
GATE Score-Card
Self-attested copy of Aadhar card

Note: The candidate has to submit all the above-mentioned documents along with the payment of course fees.

BIT Raipur Diploma Admission 2023

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission in Diploma programs shall be as per norms laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education, Raipur / Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai. However, the admission in Diploma for the sponsored seats will be done at the institute level as notified by DTE Raipur.

Selection Criteria: The candidates who have appeared in the PPT( Pre Polytechnic Test) and have a valid Score Card are eligible for counselling. For admissions, contact details are mentioned below.

The thing is that teachers are friendly in nature and support the students at the time. Courses are primitive and need to be updated so as to extend more industrial and professional exposure on the students.

It is good college for the average one

Courses are very old because . It should be improved and practical things are to be done regularly . This course will not fullfil your profession due to the theoretical part . practical should be enhanced.

It could be good if college should have been proper in Raipu

Can I get into Bit durg with rank 3168,female rank 918 in cgpet??

Hello aspirant,

Although it's a bit difficult to get some branch in bit durg as per your rank ,but you have some slight Chances of getting electronics and telecommunication engineering in the last rounds of counselling as per previous year statistics as the closing rank was 3438 so you have some chances there.

Is Christian College of engineering and technology bhilai is good for placement? which should I choose bit raipur vs Christian College vs shri shankaracharya bhilai vs bit durg? please help me for selecting college?

Hello Swapnil,

Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Bhilai has not recorded very good placements during the past years. Placements are there for CS/IT branch students in companies such as Amazon, Capgemini, CMC, CMS Computers Ltd, Flextronics, HCL, HDFC Bank, Indian Army, Infinite, Persistent Ltd., Shriram Group , SYNTEL, TCS, Tech Mahindra and TEGA INDUSTRIES etc. The average package is around 1.3-1.8 LPA, which is not very good.

Talking about BIT Raipur, the placements are again not very good for branches other than CS/IT, average package is not very high( about 3.5 LPA).

BIT Durg has recorded average package of 3-6 LPA However, highest package offered is better here. It is almost equivalent in terms of facilities, also fees is higher than BIT Raipur.

Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Engineering & Technology, Bhilai has placements from companies such as Adani Group, Ashok Leyland, BirlaSoft , Capgemini, CMC, Genpact, HCL, Hexaware Technologies, ICICI Prudential, ICICI Securities, L&T Infotech, Mahindra and Mahindra, Renault Nissan, RetailOn ,Siemens, SONY, Synergy Group, TATA, Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, Unisys India, XL Dynamics, Yahoo etc. The average package is around 3.2 LPA . So placement is good for CS/IT.

BIT Durg has an overall better reputation among the other colleges and thus gives a comparatively better placement than SSTC. The chances of you getting placed is way better in BIT Durg. Rest other factors are almost the same in both.
