      Yes, the GATE paper for CSE and IT is same. The syllabus for both the branches is same.

Most consistently they are same, because in both the courses leaving two-three subjects hardly,all the other subjects trainings are same.So if you able to make out the best choice in picking the common subjects ready first ,then you are at safe side.
