I can't understand about the your word trend. If you talk about the ranking trend then I suggest you something. The trend of ranking is change in every year not same as of previous year. If a college has a rank trend of previous year is around 25k, so it might be comes around 30k or less. Or it might come around 20k also. The trend of ranking is change every year in some college.

The cutoff and all stuff chabges every year . But comparatively there is no big gap . So the rank and cutoff is not stable . But you can estimate your chances and see for your prediction for colleges from the previous ranks .
