Admission into UG courses in NITs in India JEE Mains entrance exam rank is considered. If candidates are eligible for JEE Mains exam then they are eligible for getting admission into NITs if they meet below mentioned criterias. There is no specific age eligibility criteria for EWS candidates to get seat in NITs in India.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for JEE Mains exam and candidates who are in 12 th standard in 2022 or completed 12 th standard in 2020 or 2021 are eligible for JEE Mains 2022.

Education Qualification: Candidates must have minimum 75 percentage (65 percentage for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC) in 10+2 or equivalent exam in science stream from a recognised Board or College.

Number of Attempts: Students can give JEE Mains three times in consecutive years from the year they completed 12 th standard and they can give JEE Advanced two times in consecutive years. Candidates qualified in JEE Mains are only eligible for JEE Advanced entrance exam.
