Hello!

There are certain difference between Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology. Placement opportunities will be more or less same for both the streams. Problem is only during termination it seems. When there comes the situation to terminate someone a Computer science student is given a second thought whereas IT students are not given a second thought. But this is not completely true if you are a IT student and you have much skill than a CSE student obviously you will not get terminated. All that matters is skill you posses.

ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was helpful.

Thank You

Dear student,

There is difference between both the branches in terms of study. IT companies hires both the branch students but sometimes company prefer only CSE branch because it deals with falicitation of application in computer.

But mostly companies allow both the branches to sit for the placements.

So, there is no much difference. If you have knowledge you can get into the comany.

Hope it Helps!
