The minimum subject requirement depends on the entrance exam you choose to give.
For JEE, you should have passed 12th or equivalent with minimum 5 subjects and 75% marks.
For BITSAT, the criteria is that you should have scored at least 75% in PCM (Physics, chemistry and math) in 12th boards.
For VITEEE ( Vellore Institute of technology engineering entrance exam), you should have scored at least an aggregate of 60% in PCM in 12th.
For MHTCET, the candidate has to score minimum 50% in PCM in their 12th to be eligible.
Thus, with four subjects in 12th, you won't be able to appear for JEE but yes, you can appear for BITSAT as it considers the score of PCM only.
