Yes there is a category wise reservation in CMI also . For admission to all the courses  of the Institute, a mechanism is followed in order to ensure reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Physically Challenged (PC) categories (referred collectively as reserved categories in this document) as per the policy of the Government of India (GoI).

However the number/ percentage of seats reserved for different categories is mot disclosed by the Institute.
