There is no much difference between CSE and IT branch the only difference is CSE is involve with innovating new things and IT is related to the use of technology. 

If we compare the branches in terms of scope then CSE branch has more scope in terms of jobs and placements and manily companies prefer CSE over IT at the time of placements.
