Yes, there is a difference between IITs and IIITs. For admission to IIIT, candidates have to qualify JEE Main and on the basis of JEE Main ranks and cutoff candidates will get admission. Further, for admission to IIT candidates need to qualify and secure a valid score in JEE Advanced after qualifying the JEE Main.
