No, there is no dress code for GATE or most of the exams for that matter. However, due to the nature of the exam, the rules are pretty strict and so is the verification process before you enter the examination hall, therefore, as a general precaution, avoid wearing - 

1. Baggy or too loose clothes;

2. Clothes with a lot of pockets, in fact to be on the safer side, avoid wearing clothes with any pocket at all;

3. Any metal accessory or jewellery as it is mostly not allowed;

4. Goggles, caps, scarfs or related items.

Again, all this is not mentioned by the GATE examining authority but it is most advisable to keep these guidelines in mind so as to avoid any end moment issues during your verification process at the centre.
