Hello,

If you’re participating in MBBS counselling through KEA then yes, both the eligibility and domicile certificate are very important, especially if you’re going for state quota.

  • Eligibility certificate is required for students coming from other boards (CBSE/ICSE/other states), and for verifying NEET eligibility.
  • Domicile certificate is compulsory if you’re claiming Karnataka state quota this proves that you are a resident of Karnataka.
  • If you don’t have these, you may still be allowed in management quota (private seats), but not under 85% state quota.

So please arrange those documents before the document verification round. If you need help, the taluk office or nadakacheri issues domicile for Karnataka.

Good luck for your MBBS journey, and don’t delay the document process.
