hello aspirant,
Yes you can apply even though you have applied wrong category, it will be problem for you during in admission and councilling time and also during category cutoffs it will be difficult for you

Hi Saravana! Sorry but, you cannot change the category once you have entered and then, you will be considered as General candidate. Your scores will considered with respect to the cutoff of General.

there can be problems and also sometimes there are not any. if you can change the category then you should but if you are not able to do it write it to the authorities.
