Hello,
Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla does not offer direct admission into B.Sc. Radiology course.  Admission to this course is based on merit, and the whole process is managed by Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla. To apply to this college, you must wait for the official notification on the HPU website.
You should have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board. Because admissions are done based on your 12th board marks, and there’s no entrance exam required specifically for this course at IGMC.
Also, remember that B.Sc. Radiology is a paramedical course, so NEET is not required unless mentioned specifically in the admission brochure.

So, if you’re aiming for IGMC, make sure your academic documents are ready and stay updated through official sources.

And thank you and hope you will find it helpful!

IGMC Shimla does offer a B.Sc in Radiology and Imaging Technology—officially called Medical Technology in Radiography. It’s a full-time, three-year program affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University.

Eligibility is straight forward: you need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, and at least 50% marks for general category or 40% for SC/ST/OBC. Seats are very limited—only about 10 per year, with some reserved for in-service candidates.

Admission is typically based on your 12th-grade marks. In some years, they may conduct a small entrance test depending on regulations, but usually, merit in 10+2 suffices.

There isn’t any direct admission without merit; if you meet the criteria and apply when the admission window opens, you may secure a seat through the merit-based process.

No, there is no direct admission for B.Sc. in Radiology at IGMC Shimla. Admission is based on merit, which means your marks in 12th standard (especially in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) are considered. Some years, the college may also conduct an entrance exam for this course. There are no management or direct quota seats available. Only a few seats are offered, and students are selected based on their performance. So, to get admission, you must apply properly and meet the eligibility and merit requirements.
