In BDS, it is called as ‘Prosection’. It means, students don't use hands but instead use eye and ear i.e the professor at anatomy department dissects a dead body and informs as well as instructs about various parts and aspects of the cadaver. The students gather round the professor and note down or, memorizes the things told. Later, in exams, students have to identify different parts of the cadaver, answer questions related to them and give Viva. This is mainly observed in BDS.
