No. There is almost no ragging now a days in almost every college. As you might be knowing, ragging is a punishable crime, you can anytime report such incidence of it occurs. Anti ragging laws are very strong these days, so one need not worry.
Here in my college, GMC Jammu, seniors only take introduction and that too during initial days only. All that happens in friendly manner.

Sir ragging is banned in each and every college of India . So it is least likely to occur in any college . And if any student is ragged then he can file the complaint at police station . So dont worry , ragging is a official crime .

Ragging is a punishable offence and is banned in all colleges/universities. Most of the colleges in our country have anti-ragging cells or committee which looks after issues related to ragging (if any such incident takes place).

So, you don't have to worry about this or refrain from taking admission in a college for this reason, you can go ahead with the decision of pursuing your higher education with the college of your choice and enjoy your college life.

Note: If you or anyone around you is a victim of ragging or bullying, you can always report it to the college authorities, speak to your parents and file a complaint with the police, a legal action would be definitely taken against it.
