The PGDCA admissions process is based on an entrance exam or merit. However, certain institutions, including Christian College and Jamia Millia Islamia, offer written exams and in-person interviews for the individuals who make the shortlist. PGDCA programmes are also offered online by Symbiosis and IGNOU.

For the entrance exam, be sure to examine the exam syllabuses and patterns. Gather your study materials and a few well-known reference books. Using several books as references can be confusing .
