IITs do not offer admission in Bachelor of engineering courses through lateral entry. So, if you are a diploma student, it is not possible for you to directly join in 2nd year B.Tech courses in IITs.

So, as per your question IIT doesn't accept direct admission in 2nd year engineering.

If you want to join IIT then the only option you have is that you need to apply for JEE Main Exam and secure a good rank to become eligible for JEE Advanced. After securing good rank in JEE Advanced then only you can apply for admission in IIT through the counselling procedure and if you get a seat then you can get admission in in the first year of B. Tech course at IIT.
