Is unreserved seat be filled, by reserved category on the basis of higher marks/rank obtained by reserved category candidate under unreserved seat in neet counseling? if this possible, then percentage of unreserved seat in matrix be justified.

Hello Ravinder!

Yes.

Under unreserved or genral category, can candidate can apply irrespective of his/her social background. Seats will be allocated purely on the basis of merit in unreserved category and the caste of the student does not play any role here. The seat matrix is as follows:

OBC reservation - 27%

SC - reservation - 15%

ST reservation - 7.5%

EWS reservation - 10%

The remaining seats will be filled under UR category. Within UR category, there is no division of seats.
