Hello Aspirant,
It is not necessary that you should have a work experience to get an admission. If you check the current 2018–20 batch of IIM Calcutta, almost 20% of the students are freshers. However, IIMs do give weightage to work experience while shortlisting which can be used to compensate for bad academics or CAT percentile.
