Hi aspirant, Since the exam conducting authority released the JEE Advanced exam pattern 2021 along with the information brochure, the JEE Advanced pattern helps the candidates to get a an idea of the marking scheme, duration, medium of the exam, types of questions asked in the exam, candidates need to read below.
There is need for candidates that they should also refer to the previous year papers as these papers will give candidates an overview of the JEE Advanced exam pattern 2021 and other related details about the exam.
JEE Advance , which is being conducted online (CBT format) since 2018, is having two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper is for three hours . While Paper-1 for the entrance exam was conducted from 9 am to 12 pm, Paper-2 used to be held on the same day from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Both papers are equal compulsory. Paper-1 and Paper-2 of JEE Advanced 2021 comprise of about three separate sections where questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates will be awarded negative marks on answering any question incorrectly in the exam.

Your JEE score is combined total of both paper 1 and 2.
