Hello Shrey! As you must be knowing, JEE Mains is now conducted twice a year and thus you will get your rank once the final results after april exam comes up. But we can try to get a rough estimate of your rank and percentile by using previous year's data.
The percentile you get is calculated shiftwise. The formula for calculating your percentile will be:
(No. of people having less than 186 marks in first shift/total number of students present in first shift)*100
If I take into consideration last year's data, your percentile can jump between 99.26473052 - 99.07781811 which will be of slight variation as factors like no. of students or the level of the paper changes.
As for the rank, you will be getting it once JEE Mains releases its result after the april attempt. To calculate your rank, the formula used will be:
1+((100-P) * No. of total students appearing)/100)
The rough estimation of your rank from previous years data will be around 5800- 8000.
