The rank is something that depends on the highest score in the exam, total number of candidates appeared, normalized score etc. The category rank depends on the total number of candidates belonging to the same category appear for exam along with above mentioned factors. So it is difficult to predict the overall rank and category rank. The category rank will be mentioned in the score card. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main and JEE Advanced will be allotted a rank based on the above mentioned factors.
