With a JEE Main Common Rank List (CRL) rank between 145,000 and 155,000, your chances of getting admission through JoSAA counselling depend on several factors, including your category, home state quota, gender, and branch preferences.
For General (Open) category candidates, admission to Computer Science or Electronics in top or mid-tier NITs is unlikely at this rank. However, you may have a chance in lower-ranked NITs for core branches such as Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering, particularly under the home state quota or in later rounds.
You should also consider IIITs and GFTIs, where some newer institutions may offer seats in branches like IT, ECE, or core engineering fields around this rank. Additionally, keeping a flexible branch preference and participating in all rounds of JoSAA and CSAB counselling will maximize your chances.
B.Tech/B.Arch Admissions OPEN
If you belong to a reserved category (OBC, SC, ST, EWS), your chances improve significantly.
Use the JEE Main 2026 Rank Predictor to estimate your expected rank based on your scores or percentile and plan your college options smartly.
