In KCET, the Casual Round is not a specific round. It is a round held after the second round has been extended if there are still vacant seats after it.

Sometimes, JEE and NEET counselling and seat allotment were a little delayed, so students who got a seat in these surrendered the seats they got through KCET, resulting in a significant number of vacant seats, forcing KEA to conduct a Casual Round.

Because this is an uncertain round, admissions are generally completed with the second round extended, so candidates who wish to participate in this can do so while attending the college to which they have been admitted by entering a new list of options.

The KCET casual round are also knows as the spot selection or spot counseling. After all the counsleing are done,if there are still some seats vacant then they do for casual vacancy.
