KITS is a private engineering college affiliated to Kakatiya University from 1980.

Now it's an autonomous college from 2014 onwards.

1. It's the second best engineering college in warangal(after NIT Warangal).
2. It's among top 10 best engineering colleges in Telangana.

KUESWF is among top 20 best engineering colleges in Telangana. It's the third best engineering college in warangal.

The syllabus of CSE in KITSW is tougher than KUEWSF.
