No there is no problem with taking a second attempt .
There is a considerable no. Of students in my college who have taken a year off even more .

For neet there is no limit on attempts only an upper age limit is mentioned which is 25 for general and obc and 30 for SC and ST .

For NEET, there is no issue in breaking a year. Infact I know some who took one year for preparing NEET. But the only thing is that you should be within the age limit.

I would suggest to to take the exam without a break, it's alright if you don't qualify or get a good score. You would atleast have an experience and the following year you can work hard , grasp the concepts and crack NEET.

There is no issue if you take a year off.  It's alright, but in the mean while it would be ideal to make an attempt.
