According to recent developments, the process for applying in Kendriya Vidyalayas across India has become online. You have to visit the official Website of the respective school in which you want your children to get admitted and fill the admission form. Then, a merit list is released which contains reservation for children of Defence personals and a separate column for children of non- defence people. Your childs name should come in that list to get admission. You may have some benefit if you know any defence personnel who may help you in admissions, but that's another thing. And I think, Kendriya Vidyalayas only provide admissions from 1st standard onwards. Not for KG.
