Hello aspirant,

The eligibility of students with Biology as an additional/ optional subject is in the supreme court but until it gives its judgement students, these students are eligible for NEET.

NOTE: Students who have passed Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement. For neet 2022 there's still time left so in meanwhile if judgement comes then eligibility of biology additional students will depend upon the outcome of judgement.

So, as for now you can appear in the NEET examination.

Beside this there are further eligibility criteria;

  • Qualification required : As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.
  • Minimum aggregate marks: General category aspirants must have passed the qualifying examination with 45% marks, while for SC/ST/OBC the minimum marks should be 40% and atleast 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology.
  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age either at the time of admission or else on or before December 31 of that year od admission. The decision over the upper age limit for NEET exam eligibility has been challenged in the Supreme Court. Despite pending the court's judgment, candidates are allowed to appear for the exam and admissions.

Hope this helps!!

Hello aspirant

Hope you are doing good

Well yes you'll be eligible for NEET if you give only biology  as students having biology or biotechnology as an additional subject are allowed to give NEET exam as per guidelines

Also , candidates who have passed Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement. So till that time , you are eligible after that your eligibility will totally depend on the judgement made by the supreme court.

THE BASIC ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for NEET UG IS AS FOLLOWING

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board. Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET

The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2021 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

UR - 50%,

OBC/SC/ST - 40%,

PWD - 45%

Age - 17 years as of 31st December of that year

HOPE IT HELPS

THANK YOU
