National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMS) is conducted every year by Science Branch of Directorate of Education usually in the month of November for the students studying in class VIII of Govt./Aided schools. The amount of scholarship will be Rs. 12000/- per annum or Rs. 1000 per month. A separate examination shall be conducted by the State Governments/UT Administrations for selection of students for the award of the NMMS Scholarships in the States/UTs.
