Along with meeting the physical standards you will be required to clear the entrance exam for your selection.
National Defence Academy & Naval Academy commonly referred as NDA/ NA is a national level entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for 10+2/ HSC candidates who wish to pursue their career as commissioned officers in Army, Navy, Air Force and Indian Naval Academy Course.
The Indian Air Force has many different types of aircraft. You may also be tasked to fly helicopters, transport and cargo related aircraft belonging to IAF etc.
NDA is the door through which you should enter. NDA applications for this year are over. NDA 2 exam is on 10th September 2017.
Now the next date will be in the month of Jan 2017 for NDA 1.

For NDA minimum age criteria is 16.5 years to 19.5 years.
