As such COEP Pune doesnt have any demerits, however I believe it is on the verge of losing out the 3rd best state institute in Maharashtra tag to VJTI Mumbai, with IIT Bombay and VNIT Nagpur being the best two. Engineering Colleges located near Technology hubs of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane have a slight advantage on terms of Placements and Career prospects.

Otherwise COEP Pune, has excellent infrastructure, faculty and research facilities as well as has a strong curriculum and provides effective engineering education.
