The expected cutoff list of 2018 for jee main are as follows;
For general category - 80
For obc category - 50
For ST category - 35
For SC category - 30
And, also the cutoff is varies from college to college.

The minimum marks needed in JEE for getting into the top NIT's is 270+. Whereas, for the average NIT's you can get when above 150. What I mean by an average NIT are the NITs that are situated in the North East area and such areas. This is not absolute as these can change every year.
